Sorry mate it has been corrupted and and may not work any more it seems the set up and read file that is like a operating system has been moved or deleted. The same things happens with usb drives.or has been disconnected without using the disconnect usb device icon.
Connect the USB cable to the MP3 player then power up a computer and plug this MP3 and cable into the computer's USB port.
You can also charge it by purchasing a 5V USB power adapter and plugging the MP3 player and cable into this adapter.
Uninstall/remove the mp3 player from the device manager of windows while its plugged into you computer and unplug afterwards from your usb port and plug it back in, windows now sees a new device and starts installing it.
Go to the configuration panel\system and click at the tab hardware and klik at the button device manager.
Are they visible in the m240 player? If not, are they visible when you plug it into your USB port to view them in Explorer on your computer?
Make sure you have put your m240 player in MSC mode before plugging into your computer by going to Settings>USB and clicking on MSC. Otherwise, you won't be able to view any of the m240 content on your computer.
1) Have you tried removing the software completely
2) Shutting down
3) Reboot and reinstall Sandisk software.
4) reconnect device
You should also go to the website and check for software and driver updates.
If there is no software for this device try plugging it into a different usb port and letting the pc reenumerate it..... if it was in a usb hub, take that out of the loop.
If it won't charge, then: 1) USB connector is damaged 2) USB port is damaged (Have you tried other port and/or other computer ?) 3) MP3 Battery is damaged
Why doesn't my computer detect my sansa m240 it worked before i tried other usb ports that didn't work i tried going to my computer it didn't detect it again please help
Hold down the power button for 20 or more seconds; when you release the power button, the Sansa Connect will restart on its own. If it doesn't restart, you did not hold down the power button long enough -- try again.
Make sure there's a battery in the player. This doesn't work when it is plugged into the USB port.
Hi blackmajik,
I just got a Sandisk m250. Windows wouldn't recognize it either until I updated my Windows Media Player to version 11. Now XP sees it just fine and the MP3 player syncs with WMP and accepts and plays music!
