For the cordless Grass Hog, the replacement spool is AF-100. You can purchase these spool heads online or maybe find them at your local hardware store, but they may be hard to find because the Grass Hog is not made any more.
Take the casing apart and I bet one of the wires for the cord pulled out. I bought a brand new ryobi sawsall,used it ten minutes and it quit. Was going to throw it away but decided to open the casing and the black wire pulled out of the terminal,it was a five minute fix swear to God!
