Flashing nokia n96

if it's turning off because it's lacking battery power even after a full recharge, then you have a hardware problem that you need to get checked by a nokia care pint, it might be the battery, the charger or even the phone itself.
if on the hand battery power is ok, but the phone still turns off, then it might be a software problem. try to update/reinstall the firmware by downloading and installing nokia software updater from here:

DEAR FRIEND,YOU WILL HAVE TO RELOAD YOUR PHONE WITH A FLASH FILE.

Software complaint... Goto any authorized service center and ask them to re-flash the software..!
It will take only 15 minutes to flash the software... I have done this many times for my customers... It is also very cheap, In India re-flashing the software is done for just $5...

Your handsets software is not correctly installed
You need to flash again
To flash you need *USB cable compatible with your handset *A Computer *PC suite of your handset *Internet connection(Min speed 1Mbps)

To flash *Install the PC suite *Connect to USB *Open the PC suit *Select UPDATE PHONE SOFTWARE**

There can be many things to cause that. You have to be more specific and tell us how it happened. But if it vibrates when you 1st turn it on and afterwards there is no Nokia chime, then your phone needs to be flashed with new software. If you hear the Nokia chime, then it might be just a bad LCD or a Main flex cable.

a non-waranty nokia N96 went dead after software upgrade. what can i do?

Then you have to reinstall or update your phones FIRMWARE by nokia pc suit and selecting update phone software.

If it wont work then contact Nokia Care.

You need to re-flash your phone software. You can use JAF or Phoenix. There are many tutorials online

Hi Rahul , Unfortunately right now nothing can be done as the software of the china made N96 will not accept the original Nokia software but what u could u is get the phone FLASHED once .there are many stores in bombay which do the same..let me know if u need further assistance. contact me on [email protected]
