(here is the link i got that from); http://dogbytecomputer.com/codes.htm#DVD%20CODES if this doesn't work then find a universal remote that you can get hold of easily near you and tell us the model number, we could probably tell you if it will be compatible with both machines and what the codes are. Connect cable from cable box (both Video and Audio out) the other terminals to dvd (both Video and Audio in). After this select from video the line, i.e. L1, L2, etc. if you don't know exactly what line you shou;d choose, try them starting with L1. you have to be sure you tuned the TV to the right chanel to be able to watch the DVD player.
