Garmin does not do free. If you bought a new unit - - brand new they give you one free update IF - and only IF - the maps on your new one isn't current.

I have Garmen Nuvi 670. After two years of minimum use the set loose its batteri power suddenly and dieout. If the problem is the built in battery how can I replace it knowing that Garmin repai will be too...

Garmin nuvi 670 remains in acquiring satellites mode. Resetting and rebooting don't seem to get it out of this mode.

The nuvi 200 series, 300 series, 600 series, 700 series, 1000 series and the StreetPilot C300 and C500 series do not have user replaceable batteries. These units must be sent in to a Garmin approved repair facilities if a battery issue arises. Garmin and Raytech are the only Garmin approved repair facilities. Raytech is a repair facility for Canadian customers. To repair your device please contact the specific repair facility for your region. If your device is not still under the 1 year warranty, there will be a cost associated with the repair of your device.

Has this been solved? Hold power switch to right for about 30 seconds then follow on screen help to recalibrate screens

My garmin nuvi 670 touch screen is not calibrated

Have you tried using the screen calibration command? Press the Wrench symbol, then the Display symbol and then Calibrate screen. Press the dots as it tells you to and you should now have a calibrated touchscreen.

There are 2 ways to unlock it.

1. Pin
2. Location (if you set the location to home, then it will start up without pin)
3. Possibly call Garmin support...

Hey Jack,

If you such a smart guy as you claim, why can't you find them?

Are you are aware that the manufacturer of many of these parts have a 3000 piece minimum buy? Do you want to but 3000 speakers just to fix one GPS?

I made a substantial investment to acquire these parts. I used to sell parts but I ran into people who bought the part, tried to put it in and broke something else in the process then wanted me to fix it for free.

I really don't appreciate you slamming me. I tried to help you and you resorted to cussing.

WTF All this guy does is point you to his website where he won't sell you the speaker but he'll fix it for a charge. Is this a self help site or just free advertising for this guy.
