I purchased phillips series 7100 on 27th Nov. 2007 and it is now not holding the charge. I have adherd to the 8hr. charging & there is nothing wrong with the supply to the razor. As this is within the 2yr. guarantee please advise the next steps to take.

It sounds like your batteries are no longer able to hold a charge and are in need of replacement. With all rechargeable shavers, once the batteries are incapable of holding even a minimal charge, the shaver becomes unable to be used, sometimes even wih the power cord plugged into an outlet. My Braun shavers all worked for about a year after it would no longer operate on battery power alone, then the shavers all stopped working regardless of being plugged in directly to an outlet.

As you mentioned you are still under the warranty period, I would suggest you contact the company and request warranty service for your shaver.

if you weren't under warranty, I would advise getting the replacement batteries and doing a repair yourself.

Not charging with new battery & rr

If its a "new" regulator it could still be bad. Take it to a shop theyll test it for next to nothing. I know on my 08 gsxr 1000 if the stator is bad it wont hold a charge either, not sure if the boulavard has one.

You can discharge the battery to 10% and then full charge it, take this circle for several times. If it can not help, maybe it is the problem of your new battery.

Its recommended that you use the laptop straight away to run the battery out, then you can charge it and it will hold 100% charge thereafter as batteries have an in built memory.

it is possible to send it a request(email or call )before u have to specify very clear about the problem otherwise try first to charge fully and discharge it 2/3 times (u also have the manufacturers/products guarantee on some parts outside the guarantee teh product is buyed)

The red charge light will not come on while it is plugged up.

These are natorious for this . What happens is they go dead a lot so people tend to just leave them pluged in during movie time's the thing is it also charges during this time has well, thuss causing over charge. I know! I know! you would think they would be made to no better than this. The answer its done on purpose. Has you have found they sold two to you . you was smart tho and exchanged it. just remember to take the battery off when the light is green. And then plug it in and enjoy ! meaning you will have to do one more exchange.

out of warranty , out of date shop will not take it back or fix it under warranty
fiddle with , read user instructions carefully especially the bit about removing the plastic insulator from the battery terminals first before charging
fiddle with it or junk it
