Mitsubishi Projection TV WD-62525

Return from 30 day vacation, tv picture&sound did not come on. Lamp statu was red; Replaced lamp with new one provided by Mitsubishi - no change i.e., no picture no sound. Disconncedted, reset no help...What else beside a bad lamp would cause a red lamp status? Haven't been able to find a qualified technican in the San Antonio, Tx area.... Tony I REPLACED MY DLP LAMP WITH A MITSUBISHI LAMP,TURN THE SET ON AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE TILL YOU TURN THE TV OFF.WHEN YOU TURN IT BACK ON WE HAVE SOUND BUT NO PICTURE.IF YOU PULL THE LAMP OUT AND REPLACE IT IMMEDIATLEY THE TV WORKS FINE TILL YOU TURN IT OFF AGAIN THEN THE SAME PROBLEM.IT IS FRUSTRATING TO HAVE TO PULL THE LAMP OUT AND REPLACE IT EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO WATCH TV.

Could be quite a few things wrong. first I would do self test diagnosis and see what error you get, then check that area. It could be a bad Ballast or it could be Fuse F9a09 and the Light Engine. It also could be Caps C9a37 and C9a38. For additional info www.ctechnicians.com

Mitsubishi wd-62525 sound will come on but no picture.

Your tv would turn on if you replace the only two 3300µf@16v capacitors on the power board . You wil notice they are bad by the way they bulge up at the top and may be leaking electrolyte a little from the tops . But the rolling lines would still remain but much less noticable. Then other symptoms will eventually appear. Truth is many many many many other capacitors need to be replaced inside the electrical chassis. Your TV would need to go to a repair shop that is expierienced in that repair because it is so extensive.

Mitsubishi Projection TV WD-62525

I RECENTLY HAD A LAMP ISSUE THAT MAY ASSIST. I HAVE A MITSUBISHI WD-52525 52" DLP. I HAVE OWNED THE UNIT JUST OVE THREE YEARS. THE UNIT INDICATED THAT THE LAMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WHEN THE UNIT WAS TURNED ON. I ORDERED A LAMP AND BEFORE IT CAME IN THE UNIT QUIT WORKING. I REPLACED THE LAMP AND WHEN I POWERED UP THE UNIT I GOT A STEADY YELLOW INDICATION AND THEN A SOLID RED. MITSUBISHI TECH ADVICE STATED THAT I MAY HAVE BEEN SHIPPED A BAD REPLACEMENT LAMP. I SENT THE LAMP BACK AND ANOTHER WAS SENT TO ME. THAT LAMP ALSO GAVE THE SAME RESULTS. I CALLED CHUCKS ELECTRONIC REPAIR AND A VERY KNOWLEDGABLE TECHNICIAN RESPONDED TO MY HOME. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD WAS BAD AND THAT THE LAMP NEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I SPOKE WITH REPRESENTATIVES AT MITSUBISHI SEVERAL TIMES AND THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO BE A POSSIBITLY. THE TECHS AT MITUSBISHI BASICALLY JUST READ FROM THE OWNER MANUEL AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING.
