Hi, that message indicates that your video source is providing an unsupported video resolution , please check in settings that video output resolution is no more than 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
Also remember to verify that HDMI is selected as input source at monitor.
you need to plug in a different screen and change your video card settings to:
screen refresh rate: around 60hertz
if your running XP right click on the desktop and click properties>settings tab>advanced settings>monitor tab> and there will be a drop down of options... set it to 60 hertz
then you can plug your other monitor in and it should work!
good luck
press F7 to bypass that error and if did not work use another monitor to adjust the setting resolution of your pc into 800x600 and plug again the flatron monitor.

Start up in sfae mode (hit f8 while booting up), select VGA support, then right click on desk top/properties to bring up display property/setting. set the new resolution , reboot.

You may have to use the old monitor (CRT) to set the resolution to 1280 x 1024@60Hz, then hook up the LCD monitor.
Right click on your desktop>Properties, then click on Screen saver tab, then at botton of the box you should see 'Monitor Power'.
Click on 'Power' then Power schemes tab.
Look at 'Turn off monitor' and set to 'Never'
