Most device queries get better responses if the device, brand, model and operating system are mentioned, along with any error messages. Sometimes the culprit lies in some change in sync settings between phone and computer. Sometimes it involves issues related to exchanges of messages between iPhones and Androids. At other times, it may involve a software bug. Here are some pertinent links:
How toDeactivate 58888 alerts (Bollywood Diva Subscription)
This articleis not relevant/important for most countries (not important for people who liveoutside India), but I write this tips particularly for Indians since I’ve comeacross more than 10,000 complaints on the online complaints forum which I can’tanswer all of them one by one. I hope this will help thousands of people savingtheir time and money. Many people are wasting their money without even knowingwhat is going on and don’t even know the importance of the information/messagesbeing sent to them. With this Bollywood Diva sms from 58888, all those subscriberswho don’t like Bollywood alerts are wasting 30 bugs or 10 bugs every month. Iunderstand that most of the customers subscribed by mistake or without knowingit’s importance, but most services providers (network operators) never givepositive reply to the customers and they are just deducting the subscriptionamount from the subscribers. I am not trying to do anything intentionally, butonly to help the people who are unable to unsubscribe from this alert. There aretwo ways with which we can Unsubscribe Alerts from 58888,
Send Text Message (SMS) to 58888 with the text HOT STOP, eg. Open write new message and type HOT STOP and send it to 58888. You will receive a message that your subscription has been deactivated.
Type *123*100# on the main screen, this will instantly unsubscribe from the alerts, but this might not work with some networks, so I recommend the first one.

Don't text it, it is probably a scam! Call your service provider they can block the incoming messages for you, or There are if you google your handset model, ways to block unwanted messages, also depending on your location/country there are regulated numbers provided by your service provider that will give you a number to forward this message to & they can block the number from contacting you further, sorry without knowing your provider & country I can't advise you further, sorry hope this has been of some use to you..
Do a battery pull by removing the battery, and make sure to give it time to completely boot up. If you are texting while you are receiving messages which is very common, sometimes it eliminates the sound while you are texting because it cannot render the sound while you are a sending a message. If thats not the case, then make sure to go to your sound settings and turn it completely up, if that doesn't work try to apply a different alert ringer for it.
I have had phones do this also. Even with a new battery, so it appears to be a bug in the firmware. I would take it to your carrier and ask them to see if there is any updates for the firmware of your phone.
