Re: Apple ifone bluetooth
You have to make sure that bluetooth is turned on.
go to your home screen, touch settings, then general, then bluetooth, make sure the bluetooth switch is set to on.
Then follow your directions for the your headset for pairing, usually it involves holding the power button down for so many seconds, then it will enter a "pairing" mode where the headset is able to be seen by phones.
Once that happens it should pop up on the bluetooth page of the iPhone and it will ask for the devices password. Most devices the default password is 1111.
Hope this helps and enjoy your Iphone, I know I do ;)

you cant. that is a flaw of the iphone. no bluetooth transfers to other phones. but if you install a photosharing app, you will be able to share photos but only with other iphone units or ipod touch, not other brands.
iphone doesnt detect other devices iPhone has no A2DP Bluetooth profile, and it has been a real surprise.
It only offers HSP/HFP Bluetooth profile (Headset Profile/Handsfree
Profile) for mono headsets, which is not enough – you can use it only
for phone conversations. A2DP's first distinguisher is Stereo of high
quality for music listening.
White on BlackWhite on Black is used to invert the colors on
the iPhone display, which may make it easier to read the screen. The
screen looks like a photographic negative when White on Black is turned
Bluetooth on the iphone only recognises other iphones or bluetooth devices such as the handsfree in your car. It will not find other mobile phones with bluetooth. Another scam for apple to get everyone to buy their fones I assume.
the iPhone doesnt actually have the ability to send and recieve files from other phones. Its just for the headset ability. If your phone is Jailbroken you may find some programs out there that allows you to send and recieve messages and find other phones via Bluetooth. YES going on the internet without a DATA PLAN will cost you money. It depends on what carrier you are with, it will very on how much per kilobyte. You can not record videos unless you phone is jailbroken. Then you can download the ability to use the camera as a video recorder. Some of the programs are the following: Cycorder and 3G video recorder. Hope this helps!
Just to clarify, the Apple Iphone doesn't tranfer file data by bluetooth. So whoever sold you the handset should have mentioned this. The Bluetooth on the phone is only for use with a bluetooth earpice or carkit.
iphone dosnt support OBEX. obex is the method for file transfer. it only supports handsfree headsets. there is no method for file transfer via bluetooth, u wanna go for app "dropcopy" this is for file transfer b/w 2 iphones.
This is not strictly true - my iPhone connects wonderfully to my Plantronics Voyager 520 headset. It will not connect to other phones, headphones, etc. via bluetooth. It is intentionally crippled and will only connect to a headset via bluetooth.
My guess is that Apple sells songs and doesn't want you trading them around to your friends via bluetooth. Whatever the reason, it's quite annoying.
