Re: Cant install drivers on Vista
Try installing the drivers in compatibility mode, check the vista help by pressing f1 and look for compatibility wizard then try installing it at this mode, if it still wouldn't install, you need to to the manufacturers website and get a new driver specifically for vista...

Are you saying you are getting the same page printed many times? What happens when you make a single copy? do you get one copy or multiple copies? If you get one then then it does not sound like a machine fault. I wonder how you "Reinstalled" the driver. You should do this via programs, canon, uninstall. A lot of people go to printers and right click on delete thinking that uninstalls it. Try it my way and download the latest driver from Canons website. unplug the usb cable and install the software and only plug the cable in when prompted to. Hope fully all should be well. Now this may sound silly but if you are using windows vista then funny things can happen. Canon and vista dont go well but then what does with vista. lol
Using your laptop go to canons website, under drivers and support input the model of your printer and download the drivers for your printer and Operating system you are using. Or if you have the installation disk that came with your printer you might want to use it, but the websites drivers will be the latest updates. Download and run the program when asked and install the drivers, leave the printer unattached from the computer while drivers are being installed. When software is compeleted plug the printer into a USB port and windows should load the drivers automaticaly.
Please got to Canons web site and make sure you get the latest drivers for Vista. Programs/drivers on CD's are often out of date as goods stay on the shelf for some time. I think you will find once you have done this it will function properly
Usually when I install drivers for hardware I never use the CD that ships with the product. By the time the product has shipped, CD's that contain software for the product are usually outdated since hardware manufacturers are constantly updating software around the time of release and for awhile afterwords. Because of this, I like to go straight to the manufacturer website and download the absolute latest software/drivers for the hardware in question.
Here's a link below to both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows Vista software for SetPoint. Depending on what version of Windows Vista you're running [32 or 64], choose the appropriate one and try installing that. If that doesn't work, visit Logitech's Support Website, choose your product, and download the appropriate drivers.
remember, 10% of all printer drivers fail to install successfully with vista. it's been a huge problem ever since its release. -check canons website for laters drivers and information -consider windows 7
Go to the printer manufacturers web site and download Vista drivers. There is a difference between Vista 32 bit and Vista 64 bit, so make sure you download the correct ones. If your printer is an older model, (4+) years, then lots of luck finding a suitable driver.
Try to reinstall your drivers from your printer/scanner installation disk, if that does not work go to the manufacture's website then download the latest update of drivers or software for your printer/scanner...this problem usually happens when you switch to VISTA....
Hi I think the setup doesn't work on your computer becaue of the system you are using. I see you are using Vista, which presents many problems concerning Drivers of new devices. I think you should check the website of the Printer, so you can consult the download page, and try downloading a driver supported by Visat. That's all!
