If you connect your computer directly without passing thru the dlink, are you able to acquire internet connection? If not, there could be no connectivity being received by the Dlink from your internet provider.

Hi, My d-link dl-604 suddenly stopped working. When I plug it in, only the power led and #4 lights are up. None of the other leds are responding nor the internet is not working as well. Please help. Thanks

The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on your D-Linkmag-glass_10x10.gif device including your password. This procedure applies to the DI-514, DI-524, DI-604, DI-614+, DI-624, DI-754, DI-764, DI-774, DI-784, DI-804V, DWL-700AP, DWL-800AP+, DWL-900AP+, DWL-1000AP+, DWL-2000AP, DWL-2100AP, DWL-6000AP, DWL-7000AP, and DWL-7100AP.

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.

Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.

Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure.

The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank.

Hope this helps! Give me thumbs please!

Have 604 router. all of a sudden only two computers can be active through the router and it does not allow the other two to work. things were working fine with all computers getting browser access... now...

On the computers that are not getting Internet access, check the LAN cables to the router. Does the Link LEDs on the router for these computers are ON?
If the LED lights are off then the LAN cable and/or network cards are faulty.
Check Device Manager on these computers to see if the LAN card is working and enabled. If not re-install the LAN drivers. If the driver installation cannot detect the LAN card then most likely the LAN card is faulty and needs replacing.
Get back to me with the results of these tests and I can advise what to do next.

I have D-link cable router(DI 604)..i want to

http://www.antifart.com/2006/09/02/d-link-di-604-firmware-rev-e.html

Before using these files, make sure you have the E Revision of that router, you can check by looking on the sticker that contains all the model information like serial, model number.

Be careful while doing a firmware upgrade, very easy to brick your router. Bricking refers to making the router no more useful than an expensive paper weight.

Cannot share connection

The IP address that you have is an automatic IP address the Windows generates. It basically means your computer is not getting an IP address from the router (DHCP). You should try powering everything off. Then, in this order, power on your modem, wait 30 seconds, then, power on your router, wait 30 seconds, then power on your computers...This should fix the problem since one computer is working already.

D-link DI-604 installing

The 192.168.0.1 was probably changed when it was first set up. To return it to default settings take a paper clip and insert it in the reset hole in the back of the router.

Give it a few moments to reboot and the 192.168.0.1 address should work.

D-link DI-604 problem

I had a same problem a couple of years ago with a DLink router and upgrading the firmware solved it.

The Philippines are covered by DLink's Australian office.
http://www.dlink.com.au. Look in the Support section, you will find the latest firmware and instructions on how to upgrade it.

If you don't find what you are looking for on their tech support web site, you will at least be able to contact them from there.
