Radiator fan runs after car is turned off. Only occurs when A/C is run for more than 10-15 min. Shuts off after a few minutes, but is concerning.

That is nothing to worry about the fan remains running after the vehicle shuts off in order for the engine to cool down. Once the motor cools down sensors trigger the fan to shut it off.

Radiator fan runs after ignition is off and key is removed

Does the fan motor shut off after a time or does it run your battery down?

If it runs for a time and shuts off, this is normal with a lot of cars today. It is a second stage cooling system that keeps cooling even after the motor is turned off. They all have either a temperature control or timer switch that turn them off.

If the motor runs till your battery is discharged then the temperature or timer control switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Should you find that your car is overheating while in town, then the fan motor or sensor switch are usually what is at fault and will need to be evaluated and replaced accordingly.

Radiator fan makes noise for a bout 5-10 min after start

There may be a problem but some cars keep the radiator fan running after motor has been turned off to help cool the engine. My car uses this system but if it is cool out (below 60 degrees) it will not keep the fan running.

When i turn off the car the fan continues to run?

Many cars have this feature. The fan will run for a few minutes at a time until the coolant in the radiator drops below a certain temperature. Most vehicles with this feature will have a warning label on the radiator shroud indicating that the fan may start without warning when the engine or radiator is still hot. The only time you would need to be concerned would be if the fan continues to run without turning itself off, and causing the battery to be drained.

2007 Pontiac G6 GT radiator fan keeps running after engine is turned off. Runs for another 4-5 mins after engine is turned off.

Heat sensor keeps blowing air thru radiator until it cools, then cuts off. Some auto do this. If it bothers you let the engine idle a few min. after you drive it and then turn car off. When you drive your car and the engine is hot it heats up even more when you turn it off because the water has quit circulating. The fan will run til it cools. It's supposed to do that.

1991 honda left side radiator fans runs longer than right side after engine turned off, solution?

hey, i responded to your other posting, you are correct that one fan is for a/c, one for regular engine cooling, it is normal for the radiator fan to run for 2 minutes after car is shut off. I believe the a/c fan only runs when a/c is on, so I don't believe it's a problem, unless it isn't running at all. Is the car running hot or overheating? If not, it sounds normal.

The electric radiator cooling fan will not turn off

As long as the fan eventually shuts off this isn't a problem, the fan will continue to run for a bit after the car is turned off, once it reaches a set temprature it will turn off.

Radiator fan runs when engine is off

some cars do start up the fan when turned off after they have been driven. as long as it is not starting when the engine is cold there is nothing to worry about. the reason it took 15 mins to shut off is that with the engine not running the water is not being pumped
round the engine thus cooling faster. hope this helps

Cooling fan always comes on after the car is turned off

this is normal. The fans are thermostatic controled. When you park your car and the engine is not running and not circulating water the temp. will come up and the fans will come on and cool the water down. Make sure you check your water level in the radiator and expansion tank. AFTER the car has cooled down.
