KP46V15 Convergence problem

Ur tv convergence board that was replaced for ur tv.The 2 STK convergence ICS was old it is not new it is those 2 STK convergence ICS on the tv convegence board is dead again and some of the resistors on the board maybe shorted and dies also must replaced too.The tv convegence board was put on ur tv those parts on the convergence board are old components parts,ur must repair tv convergence board again to fixed this problems called convergence pictures problems.

Replace Convergence ICs ,Big black ICs will have PN# on them example STK 392-110

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv pictures convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Replace both of your STK ICs STK392-110s use 150s Mats has Them 1-800-628-1118

100% Ur 2 STK convergence ICS are still dead.Ur ICS soldering some how,u got the ICS shorted.Or ur ICS not right kind of STK ICS,u replacing in ur convergence board.

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

Note:The convergence/defletion/power board (the one the IC's are on) of this model is on the left hand side (when facing the back of set) also check for blown pico fuses when replacing the convergence IC's The best way to replace the IC's resistors and possibly fuses is to remove the entire board.

fl231 is the convergence fuse, and is soldered to the board in proximity of the convergence ICS, on RCA rear projection TVs.


If fl231 has blown, TV usually does not turn on at al, if you get bowed picture, that means that the convergence ICs must be replaced.

The fuse is on the same board where you find convergence ICs, if the fuse had blown, or the pico fuses at the base of the STK convergence ics had blown, the STKs must be replaced.
There is need of purchasing the service manual to do the job.

The problem is most likely due to a defective convergence IC.

There are two convergence STK ICs located on the convergence board.

You need first to test the ICS, by checking for continuity the pico fuses at the base of the ICs, then replace the faulty STK.

You should trying doing it yourself only if you are a proven electronic repairer.

i have the same problem where is the fusible link i replace 2 boards and a connector (t.v. repair man can and diagnoised the problem but did not fix it)
