Gray area. Your processor may not be compatible with the specs on the new board.

Hindsight it is always advisable to purchase processor along with your chooen motherboard, suppliers areall to keen to sell and will say "Yes" that should work? and is suitable.

Remember, a lot of sales assistants need sales and not all are professional or computer friendly.

Hello Arua

I would suggest you get your hands on a 4 digit post card to diagnose the problem

heres one

  • Determine defects by difference sounds coding with build-in speaker.

  • It can diagnosis the motherboard signal which show the problem of CPU, Memory, video card, etc.

  • The POST code display is made up of a dual, dot matrix hexadecimal read-out that display's Power On Self Test (POST) status codes

  • Support the power source working indicator -- +5V,+12V,+3.3V and 12V(When indicator LED is on to indicate its respective power is fine, otherwise to indicate its respective power is failure.)

    System will not power up

Have you replaced the cmos battery(disc shaed flat 3V CR2032), although there could be more sinister problems than this as the mobo or processor may be damaged.
