More than likely, all you need to do is replace the door hinge., you will probably have to seperate the inner door panel from the outer panel to fit new hinge.

Dave,
You should not need new hinges. As long as you have screw holes on both sides you re-use the same hinges, just flip the middle one over. The bottom hinge point, you will need to move the post from one side to the other. Hope this helps!

Trying to reverse door swing on Samsung washer WF405ATPASU/AA
Tony, this is a simple procedure and you just need a medium sized phillips head screwdriver. Start by opening the door and removing the two phillips screws that attach the hinge to the machine. Remove the door by lifting up and out. Next, remove the two screws that that you will now see (previously hidden under the door hinge that you just removed). Now, go to the opposite side and remove the two screws that hold the door latch and pull out the plastic latch insert. Also, remove the two screws located (about 4 inches) above and below the latch insert. Now simply reverse the process by securing the plastic latch on the left side along with the two screws (top and bottom). Before securing the door on the right side, lay it down and remove the screw that is used to hang the door (within a slotted hole on the machine) and move it to the top of the hinge (you will see a hole for it). Now simply hang the door on the right side of the machine, and firmly secure it with the remaining two screws. Your door should move freely and latch securely.

We are replacing old doors only in an old house. when we put the hinges on the new door the bottom hinge is slightly misaligned. when we get it put together it binds
Hi this is what I would do. 1.buy a shim pack at any hard ware store (wooden wedges) cheap. 2.take one side of bottom hinge off,frame. 3.shut the door and use shims end to end like this >< Where needed to fit door,some on bottem ,one set on knob side and anoughter set on hinge side.At any rate where ever they are needed to leval the door in the frame. 4.buy some wooden dowels to plug frame holes,might have to drill screw holes larger for dowles.Drive dowels in and break them off. 5.swing bottem hinge in to place and screw hinge down.This should work and you may need a wood chissle or flat screw driver for modifacation where hinges seat.You may have to reseat both hinges or put shim stock behind the frame hinges to line up every thing.I hope something here will help and please feel free to ask any questions that you have and add any thing that will help me see this clearer.You will need a person on both sides of the door to drive the shims togeather to keep the door level. How do i adjust the doors on my 1995 suzuki swift? They are hanging too low. I have to lift the doors to close them without damaging the closing mechanism.
You need to go whole hog and get new hinges. When you have them in, then you adjust the doors. The hinges are so shot any adjustment is futile.

The doors on my 1989 Ford Mustang (hinges) sanging. What is the fix for this? (maybe hinge pins or total hing replacement). Also, door handles outside stick and dont operate correctly? Idea fix?
You may need new hinge pins, replacement of the catch pin may be helpful as well. The plastic bushing on these tend to go bad letting the door hang lower and making it difficult for the handle to open the door.

I need to remove and replace my drivers side door and do not know how to do so.
go look at the passengers side. take note of the door seam and fender seam width. its about the width of a piece of cardboad. additionally look at the door hinges on the passenger side. it may or may not have washer shims. if they do/dont then just match up with passenger side. it takes 2 people to hang the door. screw in door hinges "finger tight" just to take off the weight of someone holding the door. play with the hinges until you can open/close door without binding or crimping fender at the seam. do not over tighten hinge bolts until the door opens/closes unobstructed. bottomline 2 people needed. slow and tedious job. you may have to add or take shims(washers) out for good fit. note that you may have to add shims to the inner door hinges or to the fender hinges where they meet. hope this is clear instructions.

Even if you do not realise it most people lean on the door as they open it, to rectify with the door open but almost in the closed position lift the door by pulling up on the door catch end, this will straiten the hinge, very common problem Regards Engineer
