SOURCE: i can not install my hp officejet 4215
have u gone on the HP web site and checked for updated software? I have 2 HP printers and both had issues, downloaded the newest software at HP site support and cured the problem.
SOURCE: I have a hp officejet 4215. It has a scanner, but
For some reason the scan button on allot of HP printers doesn't seem to work. You can go thru "printers and faxes" on your "start" menu. After opening Printers look in the left column for "scanners and cameras",click it.Then your printer will come up,highlight it.Left column again, click "get pictures" and it will walk you thru the scanning process.

SOURCE: i need directions on how to lift out ink cartridge
turn the printer ON.then lift the cover on the right side of the printer to the top. the cartridge carriage will automatically move from left to right for few seconds then the carriage will stop to the right corner where you lifted the cover.then to remove the cartridge out its a very very simple method.place the thumb of your hand on the cartridge top and one finger on the base of the cartridge and slowly pull it towards down position.the cartridge will get unlocked as you push it bit lower side the down side.then once the cartridge is got down it will get loose so easily pull the cartridge towards yourself.it will come out.in the same way do it for other cartridge also.there are many -- many users facing this same problem.removing and reinserting cartridge looks bit hard but its very very simple.while fitting the cartridge if you are getting it hard to fit then.check on the cartridge there is brown dotted circuit.in the printer also there brown dotted circuit.this both circuit should match each other while fitting.so you get in what position to hold the cartridge.the sticker on the cartridge should be on top position.it hardly takes 2 second to remove and reinsert the cartridges ,once the cartridge carriage gets stopped in the position from where you can remove the cartridges.let the cartridge carriage get stopped in the right position then only remove the cartridge, other wise the cartridges will get blocked. this will help.please do rate the solution.keep updated for any further assistance if more help required.thanks.

Turn on the HP printer. Lift the printer cartridge door, which is the right side of the printer, revealing the black and color ink cartridges. Push down on the front of the cartridge you need to replace and pull it out slowly. Unwrap the new ink cartridge and peel off the tape. Insert it at an angle into the cartridge slot. Apply gentle pressure until it clicks into place. Close the cartridge door and press "OK" when prompted.
