Question about Toshiba Televison & Video

Open Question

I just hooked up my old toshiba SE-R0047 DVD/CD player with AVtoHDMI converter. All i get is a blue screen. I put in a CD, says it's loading, but it doesn't play. DVD: when i hit play i get dashes.

The converter: HDMI cable plugged in and into TV. AV plugs in converter and back of DVD, all matched. mini USB cable came with converter plugged in converter, standard USB at other end in TV. change input or source

SOURCE: HDMI connection problem

On your TV set remote are you selecting the proper input; for example when you have different devices connected to the back of your tv set, dvd player, vcr, cable box etc; you have to tell the tv which device you want to use by selecting the right one on your tv remove input selection. Hope this was any help.

SOURCE: HDMI to DVI gives pink screen

Make sure the Geforce outputs in DVI-digital
then  Boot the PC while the TV is on and connected. This allows the card to read the EDID from the TV and provide the best resolution...

Most displays work best at their native resolution, which is either 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720, or 1024 x 768 for most HD TVs. It sounds like your video card has difficulty handling resolutions that high and that may be your problem.

One has to remember that DVI/HDMI is capable of carrying two types of Colourspaces: RGB and YPrPb. Unless modified, the PC will always output RGB.
Do you any other components that use HDMI that you can test, or another HDMI port on your TV that you can use? If not, then the best you can do is swap the cable and contact your provider about the problem,  Make sure the Geforce outputs in DVI-digital

SOURCE: Television is not recognizing HDMI inputs

there is a possibility that there might have been a power surge sent over hdmi into the hdmi board on the tv. if on your model the hdmi board is seperate from the sine board then youll have a cheap replacement if not its gonna cost you roughly 300-400 is my guess.

call your repair guy

How do I turn on the audio in the Toshiba Se-0047 remote control

I suspect the problem is with the DVD and requires the audio settings to match the type of audio connection you have used, Digital sound or Analogue Sound. see setup for audio in this similar DVD model user manual. I did not know what your DVD model number was but it should be similar in setup to the one below in the link.

DVD will not load or play. Just keeps saying loading over and over

This probably means that your DVD player has a dirty lens or a tracking problem or both. If the DVD player has a tray, you can try putting an optical disc lens cleaner into the unit. (Slot-loading DVD units may not properly accept or eject the disc. So don't try a cleaning disc in that type of unit.)

Since most DVD players are cheap, it's usually better to replace the unit if the tracking is bad. Similarly, if a lens cleaner does not work, replace the unit. If the player is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

I hope this helps.

I need instructions and code to re-program the TOSHIBA SE-R0047 remote control ????

If you wish to get setup codes, three digits, four digits or five digit ones, check this link. Pull up older posts there. Setup code list and setup instructions to some popular model remote controls are given. Select the 'Timeslide' option from the drop-down list by the 'Sidebar' at the display window. It will make search easy.

How do i set my Toshiba ct-90157 remote to watch dvd's

Most DVD players are connected to one of the rear audio/video inputs--hook to that input and select it on the TV--then hit play and if connected correctly you will see the movie.
