I have a Motorola Q H/W Rev A and when I try to charge it displays with a black screen the following
motorola flash mode
bootloader version:
BOOT_C_03.08.00R_MPAP
Please connect the USB cable
I connect it and it then it says USB cable connected but thats it nothering else.

start your phone in flash mode,you do this by holding down the # and the * key while powering up your phone,,you will see a black screen with a bootloader message,,plug the phone into your pc and open motorola phone tools then do the phone updates..that should help...
youll need motorola phonme tools and a computer and a usb cable.. you can get motorola phonje toiols from www.modmymoto.com
Your phone is starting in flash mode..You need to have either p2k phone tools or motorola phone tools..you can get them from www.modmymoto.com. once you have the software on your PC connect your usb cable and reload your phone
This means that the phone firmware is corrupt - you can try to reflash it using Motorola software update, but it might not work for a phone stuck in bootloader mode:
this is the programing mode where the software was originally loaded. Try to remove the battery while the phone is turned on. Sometimes this will reload and allow the phone to work normally. If not contact motorola for warranty info.
