The network key mentioned is the security key that you use to connect to your wireless router. It is the key code you use when you connect a computer wirelessly to your router.

The brother HL-2040....is out, no vista drivers at all for that one on Brothers site, only drivers for 95,98,ME,NT and 2000

Had the same problem with mine. I fixed it with a sledge hammer and then bought an hp to replace it... No more problems. Now my printer actually prints till it runs out of ink... what a concept. Will never buy a Brother product again. I hope they're making enough on those toner cartridges to justify the loss of customers for life.
