The red light means u havent got a connection if u have installed properly try upgrading the firmware the problem might be the routers

when you upgraded did any settings from your isp change like passwords or usenames that your router may not be registering at your isp's server, or the line speed that you are now getting is not suported by the router.
type 192.168.2.1 in your web browser and check the connection settings.
