Does logitech quickcam communicate stx webcam works with vista?

I have windows vista home premium intalled on my pc and have a logitech quickcam communicate stx webcam but it does not work with windows vista as it has some compatibility issue. . . kindly help me out to solve this problem and make it compatible with windows vista. . .

Give me software to intall in computer

1st You download Webcam Driver.

Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX Personal Web Camera Driver

After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

No, you can install it now. There should be no issue with upgrading later.
Only thing I would suggest is that you check if the webcam is compatible with Windows 7, but I think almost all Logitech webcams are, so no issue.

Logitech QuickCam STX vista compatibility?

Have you updated DirectX?, I'm not sure if Vista has DX9.0 or 9.0c, but you could try and update DirectX before you install the cam software. Also if the cam is usb, did you install the software "before" connecting the cam?, some people aren't aware that usb devices have to have the software installed first, before connecting the device.
