Norstar compact plus- can't get line access

I've just replaced an aged norstar unit in a large private house with a compact plus (System version SP:30AYF07 GP4) and an NTB30AAAA analogue trunk. There are no other cards bar an old NTBB30AF which is not used as it does not offer Caller ID, and the software card. The whole system works really well BUT I cannot get an outside line at all, the signal is fine and strong if i wire a phone to the amphenol plug in the unit. I cannot access the profile programming on this board using feature **profile and config code which then just logs out of programming. All the jumpers on this analogue line card are set to the lower position. We keep getting "No dial tone" message on the phone. I Really dont want to run costs up so any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your wiring the co lines on the first 2 pins of the 66 then space 2 then lines 3 and 4.

Caller ID not working on Norstar terminal using line dedicated to fax and phone

You must have latest software to have Caller ID
You must have a Caller ID line card
Caller ID must be programmed on the phone to allow it
Caller ID signal from carrier is sent between 1st and 2nd call

FYI on the fax: Analog ports (ATA's) on the Norstar system do not show Caller ID, instead you would need to use a line share device that supports caller id such as the STICK.

Hi, Can any body help us? We have a M7324 on a Norstar Compact with two line pools, Pool A is on Line 1,2,3 and Pool B on Line 4,5. We want to add another line on Pool B so I tried configuring Line 6 which...

On the cross connect do you have a CO connected to that line. That is most likely the cause of no dial tone. If you don not know how to check that call a phone system expert to connect and verify your system.

We lost power and when our Meridian M8X24 phone system with T7316E phones came back up we only have access to 2 lines. How do we gain access to the other lines again.

Sounds like your norstar system needs to be reprogrammed because norstar defaults back to only 2 lines when the inturnal battery fails. If the inturnal battery has failed and you reprogram this phone system and you have another power fail you will have to have you system reprogrammed again.Time for new system.

Nortel Meridian Norstar-Plus Compact ICS with #7310 phones.

I'm pretty sure CID is automatic on a CICS....IF you have a CID trunk card. You might want to post the part number on the face of the trunk and we'll see if it's the proper one.

Norstar Flash problem

Cycle the power on the voicemail system. If that does not work, you may have to replace the voicemail power supply, or send the voicemail system for repair.
Good Luck!

Start with "Feature 9 (star) 1" from a Norstar telephone, to view the CallPilot Feature Code list. Then enter the System Administration feature code.

Compatability Issue?

What port is the line in? You will have to look in system programming under maintenance. Look and see if the port is enabled or not?
