This was given to us in really good condition second hand, and we would like to give it to our 4 yr old for Xmas ...but neither of us are "technically inclined" and can't figure out how to program the controller to our TV....HELP please....Thanks :)

We have lost the Manufacture's Code Booklet...so we can not program the controller. How can we program the contoller without the code list? Your help will be a GREATLY appreciated.
I have the 2003 version of the Fisher Price Interactv. I did not use the setup disc or setup or code entry card to fix mine. Here is what I did:
I looked up my the manufacturer code on page 10 of the manual. Find yours here: http://www.fisher-price.com/uk/interactv/pdf/user_manual.pdf
I turned my DVD player on and inserted a my interactv sponge bob game dvd. I sat with my interactv unit about 3 inches from my dvd player. With batteries in my interactv unit, i placed one of the game cards that I have (sponge bob in my case) into the unit sideways. The green light flashed. I then entered the code where I thought the numbers would be assumed 1 ,2 3 on the top row 4,5,6 on the middle and 7,8,9 on the bottom row. Use the right arrow for zero. The light flashed with each number I entered and then blinked twice as it accepted the code. I removed the card and inserted it properly and began playing. Hope this works for you.

I've put in the codes for my dvd player, I've also done the manual search, I've done both ways 6 or 7 times but still wont programme to my dvd. Can anyone help?

We lost the programming card but we tried using sbarnett5's solution and it worked. But we did it a bit differently in that we used two card that had opposite cutouts on the bottom so that when they are inserted it is like the programming card which is smooth on the bottom without cutouts.
After I successfully manually programmed the controller with the DVD and insert the test card, the test card doesn't open the next menu. Has anyone had the same issue?

I was able to manually program the controller with the DVD code. However, the test card does not respond despite numerous tries with manually programming. Has anyone else had the same issue and was able to resolve?
