take it to the dealer with your SN and receipt the dealer can get you a new dealer for about $100, but if you are not the original owner who registered the SN, it is a copyright violation and you are SOL
I purchased 5D pro and have the same problem. I contacted Viking and was told it was a known problem with no fix. I was instructed to take the dongle to my dealer to see if they can activate it.
