Hello,
You may have inadvertently reprogrammed the keys.
Look for utilities provided by the laptop manufacture (Programs) to configure the Fn-esse key combinations.

Hope it helps.

Why my coby netbook won't connect wireless after i press fn+f1?

Could be a number of reasons? Do you see your wireless network? What is the signal strength? When is the last time you have power cycled your router? (Removed the black power cable from the back, waited 5 seconds and plugged back in). Please give that a try and make sure your wireless is enable. The fn + f1 key will either enable or disable it, there should be a light somewhere on the laptop that is on indicating the wireless is on. How to enable my wireless adapter

There should be a wireless switch either on the side of the laptop or at the front of it. Turn the switch on to enable the wireless.

Once the switch is turned on there are keystrokes you can hit that toggles the wireless on and off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless icon )))) on it or it might be the icon of a tower with the wireless signal )))) on it.

When you toggle the wireless watch your screen because it normally will display Wireless On or Wireless Off as you toggle it with the keystrokes.

Welcome to Fixya

The wireless switch is located either on the side of the laptop or infront. You will see an embossed image of a wireless network which means that the switch is at the ON position. You can alse enable and disable the adapter by pressing the F key (F1, F2 etc) that has a picture of a tower that has a wireless signal together with Fn key. On my laptop its Fn + F8.

Cant find the switch on my laptop to make me wireless

I can't find any info about that laptop on the internet. If you have xp, go to start menu, control panel, network connections and see if you have a wireless internet connection in there. If not, you do not have a wireless card in your laptop. If you do have that connection, right click to enable it.
Please rate, thanks!

How do you turn on the wireless function on the esprimo v5535?

hai

According to the laptop's quick guide this is how you enable and disable your wireless:

Radio components: Wireless LAN/ Bluetooth/UMTS

The installation of a wireless LAN module not approved by Fujitsu
Siemens Computers GmbH voids the permits issued for this device
(see chapter "Technical data", Page 22).

Depending on the device variant, wireless LAN, Bluetooth and/or UMTS may be integrated in your notebook.

On delivery, WLAN components are switched on, Bluetooth components off.

Switching the radio components on and off
Start the WirelessSelector using the key combination Fn + F1 .
The WirelessSelector enables you to switch the radio components activated in
BIOS Setup on and off individually.

BUWlMuireTtlSeososthLAN
Press the key combination Fn + F1 to start the WirelessSelector.

The radio component indicator will be illuminated when one or more
radio components is switched on.

If you switch off the radio components, the Bluetooth module, UMTS and wireless LAN transmission unit (antenna) will also be switched off.

You can enable or disable the radio components individually.

BIOS Setup allows you to specify which radio components can be switched on
and off using the key combination Fn + F1 .

Only those components that have been activated in BIOS Setup can be switched on and off using the key combination Fn + F1 .
Conversely, components that are deactivated in BIOS setup cannot be controlled using the key combination.

You can also activate and deactivate the radio components individually in the BIOS Setup. You must have assigned the supervisor password in order for this function to be available.

Pay attention to the additional safety notes for devices with radio
components provided in the "Safety" manual.

Details on using Wireless LAN can be found in the online help system
included in the Wireless LAN software.

You can find more information on how to use Bluetooth on the CD you
received with your Bluetooth software.
