Clean the lenses and mirror. - Carefully with no liquid, just a micro-fiber cloth. They can be accessed by removing the front screen.
There are items in the service menu that can tweak color drive and grey scale, but you can really mess up a TV if you do not know exactly what you are doing. You can also do a comprehensive convergence in the service menu.

The picture quality of the camera is very bad on my mac. im trying to use skype. first i thought it was the lighting in the room but it has been like that since i bought it. how can i get a better picture...

Run the program to use this webcam. In that you would be able to set up various items like color, hue, contrast etc etc. tweak all of them and set the best possible picture. Also rotate the ring around the lens. Both clockwise and anticlockwise to focus on to you to get the clearest picture.

Sony KP-53HS30 Projection TV has pink and blue hue w/timer blink

Depending on your TV, you may have a Color Temperature (Color Temp) and/or Hue setting in the menu. Use these options to adjust the picture to the setting that best suits your viewing preference.
If your TV has a Color Temp setting, you will normally have the following options to select from:
  • Cool: Gives the picture a cooler, slightly bluish appearance.
  • Neutral: Gives the picture a neutral, more natural look and appearance.
  • Warm: Gives the picture a warmer, slightly reddish appearance.
If your TV has a Hue setting, follow the appropriate step below to make adjustments:
  1. Move the setting to the right to reduce the reddish appearance.
  2. Move the setting to the left to reduce the greenish appearance.

Wrong, abnormal or missing colors

・ If any colors (red, green or blue) are missing, check the video cable to make sure it is securely connected. Loose or broken pins in the cable connector could cause an improper connection.
・ Press and select Picture | Settings to adjust the Hue and Saturation settings. You can also select
Picture | Advanced to adjust the Color Temperature settings.
・Connect the TV to another computer and check if the problem is with the computer screen.

Other than that there is no mention of color adjustment

FOGGY-HAZY PICTURE

The contrast setting should always be more than the brightness setting, it's purely common sense to have the black levels dark and the white levels light. I advise your brightness to be 40, and your contrast to be set to 60.

You shouldn't alter the hue, as most manufacturers would have spent significant time balancing this anyway, so set this to 50 and leave it alone.

The saturation shouldn't be altered too much, the best bet is to set this to 55 and let it be. Also, the colour temperature shouldn't be changed atall, so set this to the default setting and leave it alone.

As for the sharpness setting, this should definitely be set quite low. I advise setting the sharpness to 40, and the reason for this is most people assume that the higher the sharpness the better quality and detail, and they're completely wrong.

If you do what I said, you should end up with a crisp, smooth and colourful picture.
