We have a GE profile performance true temp convection oven and no instruction manual of course.... the problem is a pesky alarm that beeps prompting the alert 'F2''. does anyone know what that means? how do we give our oven what it wants so it stops beeping?!?!?!? thanks.

Oh, you probably got this fixed already. If it happens again, it helps to take the control panel off, insert paper towel folded up neatly and slotted into the ribbon (it absorbs the moisture which causes the ribbon to short out). Sounds crazy but it's true! I saved our family hundreds of dollars with a piece of paper towel!
Did you try going to the GE website? If not, try it:

When you pull up the website, you can click on the blue down arrow located in the box at the top of the web page, next to the work SEARCH and click on "USE & CARE MANUALS. Put your model number into the next box to the right and hit GO.
If you are having trouble after entering what you believe is the proper model/serial number, you can look at the FAQ (frequently asked questions) section to determine whether you have actually entered the proper number.
brand new??? under a year old??? if so you have a warr call for service, but it sounds like an ignitor isssue, brand new , perhapsgot damaged in shipping 1-800-ge-cares
First let me address the temp ... Buy a meat thermometer and test it against the temp set in the oven. Though that isn't the most accurate, it should prove whether or not it is way way off.
Second.. convection baking takes considerably less time....
Third... elevation plays a key factor on baking but not so much on cooking meat. Baking above 2500ft elevation takes 20% longer and above.
