When I first turn on my TV, I get horizonal faded semi transparent lines. Then after 1-2 minutes of warmup they go away and everything is fine. are the red/green/blue electron gun starting to fail? Thank you, Robert

It probably has leaky capacitors in the hyper board or the video process board, this repair requires a qualified tv repairman, you can't do it yourself, alot of actual repairman can't handle this repair. it will get progressively worse as time goes on the more leaky the capacitors become.

Laptop screen fading in streaks

this thing happened in my laptop also i got green screen fully
then when i hit it behind the screen it was gone but comes many times then again i would hit
later on the screen was completly lost then had to replace the screen
yous is a starting period so go to a nearby computer service and fix the screen

You have bad capacitors in the vertical sweep circuit. If you have no electronic repair experience, you will have to take the set into a repair shop as these parts are soldered into a printed circuit board and need to be tested with an ESR cpacitor meter. Good luck

T.V. has no picture

I noticed a bright horizonal line about 1/4 in.wide centered in the middle running from side to side. Audio is fine. This just all of a sudden happened it was not gradual. it is due to vertical section failure. please minimise bright to protect crt. solution. solution 1 check supply to vertical section. 2 check for ic failure in vertical section 3 check vertical output section parts. Is it fixable or dumpable?? Please HELP!!!! yes it is fixable it is common problem not major one. good luck.
