Question about Dacor ECS230 Epicure Electric Double Oven

Daco oven - U60 cooling fan error

I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy any Daco product again. I just purchased a Daco oven about a year ago. I used it only 5 or 6 times. Recently I got the message “U60 Cooling Fan” error. I searched the Internet and noticed that a lot of people have the same problem as mine. My oven should not break down just only a couple uses. It was not cheap, but its quality is really bad. I rather buy other products that are a lot cheaper, but more reliable than Daco. You live and you learn. Goodbye Daco forever.
At the mean time, Ali Bani, can you please give us the key pad sequence that you have so that we can fix our over problem. Thanks.

The code is telling you that the oven has sensed a fault in the coling fan circuit of the upper oven. Dacor has had a few problems with the cooling fans in these new ovens since theyve been out, so most likely you will have a bad fan motor. If that is the case, be prepared to have the repair person have to pull the oven out of the wall to get to it and change it. If its a realy board problem (less likely) than that can be changed from the front. Call up Dacor and find an authorized servicer in your area since it will still be under warranty. Good Luck!

There is a small fan you should be able to hear blowing when the oven has been hot for a while. The fan keep the electronic controls cooler so they won't be damaged by the heat.

I got Dacor to give me the number sequence -- - push "cancel" and "#" at same time - when screen asks for "service ID" enter "S1234" (get "S" by pushing "7" 5 times) - screen will list "U60 Cooling Fan" as number 1, so select "1" - select "clear all", this should clear the error - hit "cancel" to get out of that screen
Hope this works for you! Best suggestion I have is DON'T BUY DACOR!! We also own their 30" dishwasher, which has been a nightmare experience as well.

GE: JTP56 F2 Door Locked displayed

I have the the same problem as discribed above. Does you oven fan go on for a long time after you use your oven during regular baking. Mine seems to stay on for 45 minutes after I bake anything. Can this be all tied together with the f2 problem? I am wondering if it is not just a fan circulation problem?

Thermador Oven won't heat after running self-cleaning cycle

SOunds like you need to reset the oven high limit switch. It should be located behind the grille obave the oven opening and below the control panel. There should be about 4-6 screws you need to take out to remove the grille to gain access. Turn the power of to the oven at the circuit breaker, then rech in with a screwdriver and push down on the little red button in the center of the hig limit until it clicks. the high limit should be about as big around as a quarter and have a wire going into one side and out the other. If this keeps tripping, you may have a bad cooling fan. When you run a self clean it should also run a fan to cool the components. You should be able to feel a breeze coming out of the bottom of the oven when the cooling fan (not the convection fan ) is running. If this fan doesnt run, it will trip that switch. Hope this helps!
