If the fan motors was replaced, most of them these days are reversible... if there is a shorter set of wires at the fan motor, then they need to be swapped / switched to run in opposite direction.. make sure breaker or disconnect is off..
Swap the c and f wires on the capacitor. Use caution 300+ volts. Turn power off and discharge cap with insulated screw driver, AND wait 5 minutes to touch.

Unit#2 -Sounds like the contacts on the master switch are welded closed or the switch is broken, Replacing the switch should fix this unit.
#1 is a little more difficult to diagnose. The compressor is being taken off line by a circuit that protects the compressor from damage either; 1- liquid refrigerant getting back to the compressor which can be caused by something as simple as a clogged return air filter or evaporator coil on a heat pump or 2- overload situation caused by a bad condenser motor or a clogged condenser coil. The first thing you need to do is clean both coils and replace the filter,. Then check to be sure your getting good airflow across both coils. I think it's most likely an airflow issue I hope this resolves the problem GL!

I would take a very close look at every solder joint there is between the inside unit and the outside. If you observe oil at any point it indicates a leak at that point. That is an expensive price for what you say was done. Check your invoice for the amount of refrigerant they or he added to the system. Compare it with the amount stated on the outside unit nameplate. Check for frost on the suction (big line) by the outside unit. If there is frost your coil is frozen up. If this is the case turn the fan on and the cooling off. Allow it to run in this manor for about an hour to defrost the A coil. Then return to the cooling mode.

I noticed the same thing on mine. I determined that the unit turns on the fan AND Hard Drive during the period of 11:59 to 12:00 BOTH AM and PM and continues to run until the unit is cycled on and off either with remote or by a program. I used a stethoscope to listen to the Hard Drive humming inside; when the unit is cycled off I could hear the Hard Drive shut down, and a second or 2 later, the fan shuts off. I had purchased several other new units thinking I would return the "defective" one. Testing them, (by setting the clock to 11:57 and wait) both other 2 units did the exact same thing. So I assume that's a software "oops" on probably all units.
My "solution" is to set up "dummy programs" to record for 1 minute after those time periods: like 12:03 to 12:04 AM and PM on a daily schedule, and I pick a channel I usually don't record. The 00:01:00 recording time and "special" channel number make it easy to quickly identify the unwanted "dummy programs" and I use the "multiple title delete" feature to periodically delete them.
So I accumulate 2 titles per day, but I prefer that to having the hard drive run all the time.
Incidentally, I talked to a sevice rep at Philips, and the only thing they could offer is to set up a return for refund. The Philips 3576H is, in my opinion, a fantastic unit and I think the little glitch is well worth the benefits of the features it provides. How did I ever live without it???

are you speaking of the outside fan or inside? compressor should be a little warm but not boiling hot. the unit could be low on freon. if low it will run a while but the compressor will overheat and shut off leaving the fan running by itself ouside. if nothing outside is running check power. if you have power check the contacted outside to make sure it's pulled in. contacters are bad about going out on goodman untis. Also ants can get under contacts.

be aware that not repairing this asap that you are causing yourself more problems First I would change out the fan capacitor and see if this could be the problem. Secondly if the capacitor isn,t the problem change out the motor . By continuing to allow the system to cycle like this the compressor will take a dive on you costing more . Good Luck
