Im pretty sure all you need to do at this point is reprogram the remote. If you dont have the codes go to the RCA website. They normally loose the codes when the batteries die and you have to change them out and re-program it. hope this helps!

It is sold with an dapator that powers the calculator through the USB port. Use it and you will eliminate any doubt about the batteries. Try resetting the calculator.

From your post I understand that the tv is not turning on even if you use the button on tv, if that is the case there is nothing wrong with the remote control, and from the blinking light shows that there is something wrong with the tv. Get it checked by a qualified service guy.

I had this very same problem. To fix this problem you have to re-flash your RCA MP3 player with the following file: http://download.rca.com/download/RD1022_28_72_76FWUpgrade_v1002.exe My RCA Model RD 1072a as worked fine since flashing the player with this file.
