First of all, cannot clean cook top, nothing seems to work and have tried everything, what is the deal????This particular stove is white, or used to be! Also, the burner stays at high on any setting, low, med or high it continues to always burn at high. This stove is only 6 months old and I have had repair men here 2 times. I am not happy with this and want to know what I can do at this point.

If you are running new wire to the cook top. You need to run 10x4 wire. The 12x4 wire is not large enough for the 220v. Also the 20 amp breaker is not large enough to run the cook top. You need to use a duel 30 amp breaker.
Good Luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer.
hello I assume you mean you are installing a new cook top, You can use caulk but its not easy to clean up after. Normally when I install a new cook top I use plumbers putty to seal it and bed it in. Hope this helps! Mike
Use Cooktop Cleaner with a soft micro cloth. Don't use water. Buff until the mark disappears.
Hint: Never clean the cooktop until it is completely cool to touch as doing so makes cleaning much harder. Never use abrasives on the glass or abrasive cast iron skillets.

I have a similar Jenn Air oven approximate date 1982. It has a catalytic liner (colored a kind of dark charcoal with paler flecks), so it is a continuous clean oven during normal cooking.
However, it also has the Accel Clean setting on the control knob.
This increases the oven temperature to maximum and also runs the convection fan to burn off cooking residues. This allows the catalytic lining work at high efficiency, and burn off stubborn residues that are not removed at normal cooking temperature. The oven may emit smoke through the top door vents as the food residues burn off, so watch that you do not set off your smoke detector. I switch on the cooker hood fan and also put a fan in the kitchen window (blowing air out of the kitchen), to avoid setting off my kitchen smoke detector if I use Accel Clean.
