Screen is frozen at the green Align Screen. Tried

Whenever you do the alignment touch the spot on the screen with the stylus and hold the stylus on the mark until it moves to the next corner.... this may work

when battery is installed the screen shows 4 even space bars...the top one red, then green, blue and white with the word "bootload v 0.24" in the red bar and "SD" in the green bar and its frozen there. I've tried soft reset, system reset, and hard reset...nothing works.

The exact same thing just happened to me too! Tried soft and hard reset. Nothing.

ok give it a Hard reset by pressing the CAM+Green Call key+power+ SOFT RESET...
and the mob will hard reset !!

Just had the same problem. When you take the battery out, leave it out for 4-5 minutes. Then when you put it in and reset while holding the on/off red button, it should start. Mind did. Good luck.

bigsphinx, I too am having the exact same problem on both my phone and my wife's too, about once a month it just locks up then after a soft reset it just gets stuck on the green screen. I called support and they said I just have to do a hard reset, which loses everything :(

So for now I always backup (using PIMBackup) to my SD card for the next time it happens.

hello :-) i just talked to another person who was having the same problem as you. And guess what?? the same problem happened to me on my IPAQ 4350. It turned out when I would hard reset my IPAQ it asked me to align the screen but it wouldn't move and it would freeze and not let me pass . But I later found out that my screen was damaged and I got a new touch screen installed and my IPAQ works perfect :-). I would recommend for you to do the same and call HP and see if they could install it for you. Thanks :-}

I don't have the solution, but this is directed to "Guest" (that posted on Nov. 3, 2007.): I don't think you'd want to call Verizon because they're simply the carrier for the network. Samsung made the phone, so even though it says "Verizon Wireless" on the phone, the people you should contact would be from Samsung. Samsung would know more about the techical details of the i730, since they manufactered it. Sorry this is so long......
