Light goes on by itself

Have hads problem for over 1 year, just lived with it. live near a small airport and thought it might be small planes transmitting som signal that was doing it. Remote finally stoped turning light on and off so I purchased an exact replacement and still having same problem. Decided to change dip switch settings and found out that I can set fan control unit dip switches to any code and remote will still work fan and light. Dip switch setting on fan does nothing. Any suggestions

My solution for intermitent light on/fan off-on: It is not outside interference. It is defective receivers. I took back my second 27185 back to Menards with the exact same problem as the first. I went to Home Depot, bought a Hampton Bay model 191-691 remote unit for $8.00 less with same features and when you turn the lights off then back on, the receiver remembers the brightness level you turned off at. Been installed for a week now with no problems. Hunter would have acted up the first day.

About the fan NO! but regarding light going on and off there is a possibility that some other influence of an electronic nature can affect remotes. Air cons , electric jugs CB and Air craft radios on UHF can do it as well as next doors remote!

What happens if a private Cessna 172 pilot tries to land at big airports like JFK or O'Hair when there is no emergency?

It's quite permissible to do so, however a general aviation pilot in a low performance plane should be ready for fast instructions and quite a bit of maneuvering to stay out of the way. The best time to do it would be at night. Here's a youtube video of one doing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKvWn317tpU

Is it common that small local airports don't have radars?

It is very common for small airports not to have a control tower, radar, or communications equipment. There are very well developed procedures for "uncontrolled airports". There is a standard traffic pattern that aircraft fly at almost all airports (consisting of a downwind, base, final, and upwind leg) and there are specific radio calls that are supposed to be made at certain points in the pattern. Most airports have a fixed base operator to supply fuel and services. They often monitor the common traffic frequency and supply some info to pilots about wind direction and runway in use. There's also a specific way to enter the pattern - usually at a 45 degree of the downwind leg, Yes it's possible for aircraft to collide and it happens several times a year - usually when a low wing airplane is above a high wing airplane in the pattern. Neither can see the other so occasionally that can happen.

A plane is 48 miles west and 49 miles north of an airport. The pilot wants to fly directly to the airport. What bearing should the pilot take? Answer should be given in degrees and minutes.

Draw the airport. (X marks the spot) Draw the distances from the airport (to scale) to indicate the position of the Plane. Use a protractor to work out the correct angle.

To Calculate:

a=48 b=49 Angle= Tan-1(a/b)

Whirlpool dishwasher 1 year old model adg 7560/1 - green start light flashing and beeping - will only do rince cycle

I have exact same problem with mine. Had Engineer out to tell me it requires new motor. The total cost would be €260. He blamed sand in water as we live near sea. By the way mine survived for 2 1/2 yrs with fairly gentle use

The dreaded F code.........

The problem you are having is a well known problem with the Kenmore Oasis washer. The user interface board (control panel) has been known to fail on some models which causes the annoying beeping and erratic display. I work on these machines and have never heard of any interference from certain frequencies causing problems. If that were the case, it would make sense to believe that you would have problems with other appliances in your home (particularly television and radio). The only fix for the problem is to replace the user interface board in the control panel as the board is not serviceable. I hope this sheds some light on the problem and gives you a little insight on what has actually been a common problem (I've replaced 8 of these boards within the last 6 months).
