Or...ur sim card could have just slipped out...try taking the battery out and the sim card and pushing the sim card back in...the phone will become inactive if the sim card is not being read or isnt present in the phone. so do that then try. should work...works for my phone when it says insert sim.

Yes there is one way to fix this it would however involve taking it to a repair centre and will probably cost you about £40.00 as it sounds like the charger port has become disconnected and requires a new port and the sim holder has become loosened so therefore needs replacing.

Hi there... I am unable to send messages from my samsung monte...tot it was due to sim prob bt when used in otr cel msgs r sent..bt when inserted in samsung monte den hvin an error" unable to send message...

First insert the sim on another mobile and check the Message center number from the Message settings (text message settings), note down the number, now insert the sim onto your handset and go into the message settings then text message and replace the message center number with the one you've noted down, save the changes made and restart your phone, it should work now.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Unable to send messages from Nokia 2310

The problem could the SIM card or the phone. Remove the SIM card from the phone, insert it to another phone and try sending messages. If you can send messages then the problem lies in the phone. To verify, insert a different SIM card into your phone and try sending messages. The problem can be resolved by removing the battery and the SIM card from the phone then wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back.

Nokia 6110

ahh the notorious "sim not read" error message
well what you have is a is a faulty contact issue from the phones brass 8 or 10 pin points to the sim card pin contacts inside the phone itself and also too, your service provider has without your knowing it, from time to time have uploaded numerous software data updates to your phone, and often old sim cards, if not replaced occasionally, your sim card has a compatibility issue to the new data being sent to your phone. You basically need a new sim card. Usually and often if the phones has suffered a lot of abuse (from physically dropping to the ground and natural elements like tempertature, rain, exposure to cold and moisture, which is a big culpret) those brass contacts, located inside the phone, that are on the edge of the sim card (when you turn the sim over you see them) get particules in between the contacts causing the notorious "sim not read" or even the notorious " sim not found please insert sim".

Error messages

1. Is there a SIM card in the phone? Is the SIM card from the same carrier/provider you got the phone from? Was the phone purchased as part of a plan or separately?

2. I see the not charging message a lot with my v551 that I had. I usually adjusted the inserted connector (after insertion) and 85% of the time, the phone recognized the power coming through.

If this fails, then try another power adapter. If after trying a new power adapter does not work, then the pins on the phone has sustained some damage.

Hope this helps :) Kindly leave a rating. Thanks..

SIM not recognized

I had the same problem with charging, I found that my car charger and via USB charged the phone but not my home charger. Give that a try, if it works with either one of them you will have to send it to Motoservice center and they will fix the internal connection problem. (save your money on buying new batteries and chargers) Make sure that the phone is not locked to a network, or make sure that the SIM has not expired and has plenty of credit.
