Hi, can you help me? When I turn my computer on it makes a funny noise then just comes up with a error message saying missing windows 32 configuration system?? What does that mean?

It means turn it off and on again, but this probably won't help. You get this message with a lens error, problem with focussing/zooming or whatever. Usually means there is grit in the mechanism or it has been damaged by a knock.
1.it's the operating system, some file is missing or corrupted.preferably in the registry entries you must repair it with your Windows XP CD/ Installer or... 2.Remove your hard disk and install it in another PC or make it slave in the other unit... this will fixed the errors and no need to reformat. 3. ram problem.... better check it out.
sounds like your hard drive is bad, you can check this by pulling the hard drive out of the system them turning it on if it turns on then you need to replace the hard drive
