IF PICTURE LOOKS 3D OR HAS RED OR BLUE AROUND LETTERS IT IS A CONVERGENCE PROBLEM.

PARTS COST TO FIX IF THIS IS UNDER 30 DOLLARS.

Hitachi Ultravision power light on but on picture

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Problem #1) Convergence

Symptoms:

• Screen Looks 3D
• Colors wont align
• Video may look distorted

Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms

• Dull looking video
• White looking video
• Halos around objects
• Red/Orange looking video

Try Encompass at 1800-638-3328

Unfortunately it sounds like your CRT's ( picture tubes ) are getting weak. You have 3- red, green and blue. It would not be in your best interest to repair it because of the cost of the crt's and if we can still buy them. A lot of analog parts such as those are very hard to locate and is getting worse by the day.
