Model 110 - 92273100 top loader. fills and agitates, then stops at the end of the wash cycle. silence. no spin, no drain, no rinse. the only part of every cycle that works is fill and agitate.
i thought that because it seemed like an electrical problem that a new switch would solve the problem. new switch installed and still the same as before new switch.

Try a power cycle before replacing any parts. You can also turn your dial counter clockwise and retest the wash. Otherwise, I would suggest setting up an appointment with home depot to get a full list of parts that need to be replaced in your washer.
if this is a top loader put a pencil into the lid switch opening if the machine spins and drains when the timer knob says it should the tab on the lid or the lid switch has failed...replace the switch or the tab that goes into the lid switch opening
The typical cycle is; fills to selected water level agitates wash cycle drains wash water spins wash cycle fills to selected water level on rinse cycle agitates on rinse cycle drains rinse water spins final time end of cycle
I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.
if it's a top-loader, then the water level sensor is probably failed! if an older machine- there's a plastic tube (which you can't see from the outside) that measures the column of water in the tub of your machine, and triggers the agitate and spin, and rinse cycles of your machine. when it's in wash cycle the water level is lower, then it spins and drains and the rinse cycle pumps in more water (makes sense!), then drains & spins, then re-rinses at the same water level. your water level sensor is defective, probably. allowing it to over-fill. it detects the water level as 'spin' and doesn't agitate! my theory- no guaranty! if it's old get a new washer or a good used one! this is not a problem i've encountered, just a guess. good luck!
top loader ??? or front loader??? if top loader you have broken your lid switch, will fill, agitate, but when it comes to drain/spin for safety reasons if the unit doent recognize the lid closed it will not advance...if yo have a front loader then i would suspect that something has gotten into the pump assy and preventing drainiing of water therefore will not spin
i believe i can help you,,but washers dont agitate in the spin cycle,,i believe you ment it wont wring or spin in the spin cycle..your lid switch is defective,,replace,,if need be i can talk you though,,onthejob
