I am using window 98 .cd of kp500 not installing in my pc pls help

Mostly Huawei modem has a build in auto-installer.,might your usb,ethernet driver ect. on your pc is not properly installed on your pc. Try to update your drivers provided the CD on your laptop to be to recognized all of the devices you plug-in to your computer.

Windows 98 software installion?
if your you should have the bootable CD or floppy disk for win98.
when you boot the computer then you have to choose the option that suppoet with CD ROM. BE sure that your harddisk must'n be in NTFS file system. if it in NTFS then it is better to use winxp or you can delete the partation the.

Here's what you need to get:

Windows 98 boot floppy from here - http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
(you need to know which version you are installing, Windows 98 or Windows 98SE)

Windows 98 or 98SE OEM CD


You will need to boot from your floppy disk first and format the hard drive which will prepare it for windows, then use it to boot your computer to the cd and the process will begin.

Change your bios setting to boot from cd. restart, choose start with cdrom support and follow the instruction

Have you got a Windows 98 or other Windows cd?

First, format the hard drive and make sure it is in FAT or FAT32 for Windows 98 install. Then do your partitioning etc and should work. If it doesn't, it is possibly a hardware fault.

It is possible that your hard drive is a SATA and therefore not readily readable by 98, XP but surprised not even by Vista. In any case, since you would still prefer to run XP (due to other software compatibility issues), pls press F6 when prompted by the XP installer. Additionally, you would need to have ready in a floppy the appropriate SATA drivers for your motherboard. They maybe downloaded from the motherboard manufacturer's website or possibly in the installer/driver CD that came with the PC.

Other than the above, it is also possible that you may have some issues with the availability of XP drivers for the other devices for that computer specially if it is branded.
