If you are hooking up via usb, then you will want to have the latest drivers downloaded. Then once drivers are downloaded and installed, then reset computer, turn on camcorder, then plug into usb, then run your media player or whatever program you are using to capture video from camcorder

JVC digital video cameras usually use one the 3 "standard" firewire (IEEE1394) cables - (see wikipedia article about "firewire" to see the various tip shapes)- best bet is to cantact JVC Customer Care Center if you have any questions regarding this. 1-800-252-5722

Jvc everio GZ-MG21EK software

Simple mate

Plug laptop into the internet, then simply plus laptop in via data lead, and turn it on.

Computer should then auto download the software from web.

Did with mine anyway

JVC manual site

Download

and install adobe reader

, if needed

Right mouse

click and "save target as" to save each manual to a file

I found similar instuctions in the GZ-MG20 manuals I imagine one of these will have what you need.
