Well i need help with the TTY part?

There should be settings in the phone, that control & protect your privacy

TTY Mode. A TTY (also known as a TDD or Text Telephone) is a telecommunications phone that allows people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who have speech or language disabilities, to communicate by telephone. Your phone is compatible with select TTY phones.

TTY is commonly used by hearing and speech impaired individuals.

Think of home phone ( land line ) with text capability. This would require tty technology devices at both ends.

The TTY is on on your iphone. go to settings, phone, and turn TTY off

TTY is the system used for the Hearing Impaired so they can read instead of hear the phone.
DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) is used by the phone when you are calling a land telelphone line and asked to enter press numbers to get a response, such as a password or changing to a different language.

Go to menu; settings & tools; call settings; tty mode; select TTY OFF. It should be fixed.

TTD/TTY devices use normal phone lines to communicate. An individual with a TTY/TDD can either communicate with another TTY/TDD device or can make a call to a standard telephone. In this case, the TTY/TDD device calls a live relay operator and the live relay operator communicates with both parties either with a TTY/TDD device or uses their normal human voice on a standard telephone. It is important to note that there are different protocols that can be used to communicate with TTY/TDD devices, however many newer TTY/TDD devices can handle a wide range of protocols and can even communicate directly from a personal computer using special software and a computer modem.

I am having the same issue - just started today. The phone keeps saying TTY enabled - TTY disabled and it won't stop.

Try disabeling TTY unless you need it it (it is a hearing impaired function). To disable do the following: In idle mode press the Menu soft key to access menu mode,
Select Settings and highlight Phone Settings,
Press the Select soft key or the Cingular key,
pres the 5 key and highlight the Disable selection,
Key in the password: 4889,
Press the OK soft key
