Look for an adjustment that allows thicker paper/multipart forms to fit around the roller. Usually a click stop type slide near the roller.

Preprinted 4 part paper crunching up when being printed in epson lq680 printer

Mustafa:

The printer is not meant to use multi-copy carbon invoices. The cause of your problem is the double-feed prevention pad below the paper pickup roller. When the first form is fed, the double feed prevention pad will stop multiple paper feeds. With multi-page carbons, the paper feed roller is trying to feed the form, and is pulling the top page of the form into the feed rollers while the double-feed prevention pad is stopping the bottom form from feeding and the top and bottom pages are sliding because of the carbon paper between the sheets. The only solution that I know of is to buy a printer with a tractor feed and pre-printed fan-fold forms with tractor feed strips on the sides of the forms.

How to install paper in oki microline 320 turbo printer

Paper Loading

Rear Feed, Continuous Forms

Use the rear-feed path for printing on single-thickness,

continuous-form paper.

Use the single-sheet path (top feed) for graphics or charts.

! If you have paper in the paper path, be sure to remove it

before installing rear-feed paper.

1 Lock Lever

2 Upper Tractor Cover

3 Pins

4 Lower Tractor Cover

2 Grasp the tabs lift off the paper separator.

3 Pull up on the lock levers and open the tractor covers.

Then, move the right tractor to fit the width of the paper.

4 Place the first two holes in the paper over the tractor pins

on either side. Close the tractor covers.

pull-up roller assembly (2).

! The factory default setting for the Top of Form (where

the printing should begin) is one inch down from the top

of the page. To change the setting, see "Using Your
Printer, Top of Form (TOF)."

Top Feed (Single Sheets)

Use the single-sheet path for letterhead stationery, memos,

and individual envelopes.

! If you have continuous-form paper in the path, press

PARK to remove it before loading single sheets.

1 Make sure the printer is on and deselected (SEL light off).

2 Place the paper lever in the position marked "TOP."

32T-12.eps

3 Open the carriage cover. Raise the paper separator to the
single-sheet position.

4 Make sure the wire feed guide (1) is secured in the sheet

guide.

5 Adjust the paper feed guides (1) for the width of the paper.

Place a sheet of paper in the separator. The paper will feed

into the printer.

6-part NCr paper form being used. Pages 1 and 2

This is a problem with your paper. Using multi-part forms on an impact printer will get lighter print on each layer working from the top form to the bottom. The "carbon" paper has to impact the paper hard enough to make the marks. If your top and bottom copies look good but some in the middle are light it is a problem with the "carbon" paper and not the printer.
Now IF the top page is light and each copy under that is getting lighter then you need to close your platen gap (the lever on the right side of the machine mark A B C) go one click at a time (darkening) until the print quality looks good (or you go too far and it pinches the paper and jams *not good*)

False paper jams and multi sheet feeds

multi feeds and jams are mostly caused by static electricity in the paper. ALWAYS fan paper top and bottom to remove static and "aerate" the paper before putting in prnter. Doing that will reduce the problems you are experiencing.

Trying to print but it ask me to load paper or form feed. also got a bypass tray message.

Sound like the computer printer preferences "paper source" is set to bypass if set to "auto select" select the tray you want. Also make sure type of paper matches what is in printer.

Line feeds

Hi-

When you said line feed do you mean the Top of form?

hope this helps

1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the desired tractor is selected (the corresponding tractor arrow should be lit).
2. Open the upper cover.
3. Press the Top of Form button to enter top-of-form mode. The printer beeps once, and the Top of Form light turns on.
4. Use the Micro Feed buttons to feed the paper to the desired top-of-form position. The “A” on the ribbon protector shows you where the bottom edge of your first line of text will print. This position is based on the first printable line of text. If your software inserts a top margin of five lines, your text will actually print five lines below the top-of-form position.
5. Press the Top of Form button again to exit and save your new top-of-form position. Then close the top cover.

Keep me posted if you have inquiries, thanks!
