I have a kaba auditcon model 552 which is currently closed the code I have wont open it can i reset it closed? is there a way of opening it?

If you are sure the battery is good than it sound like the keypad is bad and needs to be replaced. With a 6+ year old operator I would suggest a wired keyless entry (Donino GD-1) so if the operator has to be replaced you can use the same keyless entry.

Two things. Check for a broken door spring. If okay, remove the cover from the motor housing and check for a bad drive gear. This is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. If it is going bad it should be obvious.
