You should first ensure that all the cable connections are firmly affixed both to the dvd recorder and the tv you are trying to use it with.

Secondly - it could be due to settings on your tv that the player isnt working. Check through your TV's manual for tips on how to adjust all the settings on your tv. 

If all else fails return the unit. Send it back to whereever you bought it form or if its still in warranty, back to the manufacturer.

The blinking blue light on my JVC DR-M10 will not stop and disabe

The problem with these units is the filter capacitors in the power supply. They should be removed and replaced with 25 v.dc capacitors...total cost for the capacitors £5. If you don't fancy doing the repair your self, perhaps you know of a good friend who can use a soldering iron!

The capacitors are 2200 micro farads radial mounting, 680 and 1200, all should be at least 25v dc working for a reliable recorder. The existing ones are prone to "leaking" and should never have been used...shame on you JVC!

Buzzing on DVD recorder when recording

The buzzing sound were feed back from power supply regulator if you can replace all of electrolytics capacitor in power supply block you will fix this problem or replace complet PCB

Recording digital channels

Connect your set top box to Scart L2 (the Right hand one).
Select Prog 1. Then Channel down until you get to L2.
This should work.

Loading blue light

Contact JVC @ 800-252-5722, the "loading" is a known bug and they will fix this defect at n/c even if it's out of warranty period.

Continuous flashing loading

Same problem here. Nothing seems to work... Pressing any key makes no difference. Disconnected the power - nothing.

Recordable DVD

can only record 2x,4x, and 8x..........not anything beyond 8x it seems....so 1x-16x will not work. Now if I could just get the loading messageto stop on mine.
