Status says printing but it isn"t!!!!
Same problem- & I fixed it!
My printer had all new cartridges and acted like it was printing, but
only blank pages came out. Since I had followed all recommended trouble
shooting steps, the Epson help center told me I had to take it to a
repair center, and most likely replace it, saying that it was probably
the actual printing head that was clogged and since it was a
non-removable part, couldn't be replaced. Instead, I did this- try it!
-Remove all ink cartridges.
-Dip a cotton ball or q-tip in rubbing alcohol, and drop a couple drops
on each ink head (the points sticking up that the ink cartridges stick
onto.)
-Dab it dry with another q-tip, then repeat.
-Reinstall cartridges, and voila, it might work!
Mine worked PERFECTLY after this 5 minute procedure, no skips, no
blots, nothing. And no repair center, and no new printer! Good luck!
Try uninstalling the printer software completely, including the driver files, and all of the image editing software and monitoring software.
Go to www.epson.com and download the most recent version of the drivers from them, and FOLLOW the instructions EXACTLY, as they have them on the website, for installing the printer.
With Epson, it is usally install the software first, then hook up the printer and hit cancel when Windows tries to install it's own driver, then complete the software/driver install you downloaded earlier. Once complete, then reboot the computer and it should be functional again.
Please advise if this does not fix your problem.
Thanks.
