Question about APC Automatic Transfer Switch (AP7701) Tablet PC
I am installing an old used 800Amp Kohler ATS and need to find a manual with circuit diagrams etc. This switch now pulls in fine and closes when utility power is present but only osciliates when an attempt is made to transfer to emergency power.
nb. voltages to the solenoid is good. The problem seems to be mechanical ie. the linkages that operates the contacts. any thoughts?
Do you know the part number on the board. Kohler used numbers written with permanent marker on their controls boards. They usually started with a letter like A or B.
You might have a * 297373 or *297375. They usually had a big orange relay that stuck up in the middle.
The filter capacitors would always dry out over time and relays wouldn't energize correctly.
Depending on the board we might have a drawing.
We fix some of the older style. Check out our website: www. flightsystems.com. You'll find contact info. For fast response call in and be prepared with any board numbers you might have found!
