My hpofficejet j6480 all in one fax machine gives me amessage that the fax is full everytime i turn my machine on if i'm using it or not... how do i solve this problem?

your fax RX memory is full and needs to be cleared however this should not stop you from sending transmission TX immediately however if you are going to send a memory fax you will have to clear the memory for machine to be able to store the TX you are trying to send

Hey. Try to plug only your line in the fax machine. Test if you can received. There may be a conflict between these machine.

MagicJack does not work with all fax machines. If you can find it you must turn off ECM or error correction mode. Also select the slowest transmission speed possible. If you have the manual for it you should be able to find the settings in there.

Sounds like some bad copper wire somewhere:

Try replacing the telephone wire between the fax machine and the wall.
If you have dsl, make sure the fax phone wire is plugged into a filter.
Try setting the fax machine to transmitreceive at a slower speed.
This could indicate a problem with your phone wires. Is there static on your phone line?
Maybe give your telephone company a call and have them check the line(s).

A reader posted the way for me to do it. I needed to go into the menu and click on the tools bar. Then I right arrow tabbed to get to the fax section. Then right arrow tabbed to get to the memory section. Then right arrowed to get to the clear memory location. Then pressed okay

Press the Setup button ( ).

1. Press the Right arrow button ( ) until Tools displays on the control panel, and then press OK .
2. Press the Right arrow button ( ) until Fax Log displays on the control panel, and then press OK .
3. Press the Right arrow button ( ) until Clear Fax Log displays on the control panel, and then press OK . A message that says the fax memory is clear displays on the control panel.
4. Press the Cancel button ( ) to exit.

I have not found the answer to this in the manual however, you may solve the problem in the following steps:

1. From the Setup menu, choose #6 Tools
2. Choose #6 Clear fax log
