When I save a new gprs setting, it shows a msg as memory full.......or 'no more than 70 sets allowed.

Welcome to FixYa!
To be able to save the new GPRS settings, you need to free some space. GPRS settings occupies a significant amount of space and can only be saved in PHONE MEMORY.
Free some memory space by deleting text messages, pictures and mp3's in your phone memory or transfer it to your memory card.

Whenever I get a GPRS settings from SMART and GLOBE network, my phone always pop the same phrase "70 sets allowed setting discarded now". How can I get rid of this problem?

Hi firstladyjum,

I'm assuming you are using a Nokia mobile phone.

Each time you change the SIM card onto the phone, GPRS settings are automatically saved in the phone memory. Your phone can save only 70 sets of GPRS settings and the 70 empty lots are used now. So now when you change the SIM, you automatically receive settings, and they cant be saved because the GPRS settings memory is full. Hence you get the message.

Follow the steps below to remove the settings:
1) Go to MENU > SETTINGS > CONFIGURATION > DEFAULT CONFIGURATION SETTINGS.

2) You'll see the list of GPRS settings saved on your phone in this page.

3) Select each of the settings you want to remove by selecting OPTIONS > DELETE.

Next time you change back to another SIM card, the settings are saved in the empty lots you just created. Once they become full, the same message shows up again.

If this information was helpful, please rate it.

Thank you for using fixya,

This might be due to insufficient space. You have to Delete other Settings already Saved on your mobile. Then try to save after requesting from Mobile Operator..

Cannot save gprs settings in my Nokia 3500c

Hi, check "menu>settings>configurations>default configuration settings" in your phone, if you find any settings there, delete them and try to download the settings again. If you can't find any settings just follow this link and do the steps given in it. http://inxis.blogspot.com/2009/11/gprs-mms-settings-error-nokia-solved.html

Not enough memory settings discarded

You may do the following actions to try:
1.Pls set the default storage of your phone is on MEMORY card, but not on the PHONE's memory.
You may go to "menu", find setting, choose storage for Memory Card.
You may have to set for all kinds of files, such as messages, photos, videos, MP3……

2. Pls make sure that your phone is powerful when you surf the internet by it.
Surfing the internet need more electrical power.

3. Some websites can't be view on cell phone, so pls confirm the website you want to view is suit for cell phone

4. Pls close other programs when you get internet.
Getting internet needs more RAM. (memory) If you open other programs at the same time, it may cause unavailable or warning "not enough memory"

GPRS

Hi try to reset all the configurations in Phone Memory.
Before doing this backup your data.
Then you have to Reset the phone using *#7370#
Then it will asks for Phone Lock Code. The default code on Nokia handsets is 12345
After resetting the phone.. you have to define accespoints for gprs instead of defining accesspoints you can download settings from vodafone and save them and switch off the mobile and start the phone enjoy the GPRS in your mobile..

Hope This will works.....

bye...
