HP photosmart C4480 - 'scan to print' prints very small on A4?

Hi,
Make sure you use the correct paper type. For example if you want to print on A4 paper then the printer must be set to A4. To see this, go to Start- > Control Panel -> Printers and faxes.
Right click on your printer and choose Printing Preferences. Then go to paper type and set it to A4.

If you are printing through Outlook, double click to open the message and then select File->Print (don't use the print icon directly from the toolbar).
Then, on the print dialog click Preferences, and see if the paper is set to A4.

start - print and fax - right click on HP Photosmart C4480 - properties - port (change to USB)..

Check the default paper type for your scaner, change the paper size to A4 and try the can again

try cleaning the printhead your printer seem to have an image quality issue

Share printer option needs to be turned on
Realize that the scan option only funtions on local connection

To align the print cartridges from the HP Photosmart Software
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
2. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings.
3. In the Print Settings area, click Printer Toolbox.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click
Printer Services.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click the
Printer Services button.
The Printer Toolbox appears.
4. Click the Device Services tab.
5. Click Align the Print Cartridges.
When prompted, ensure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray, then
press the button next to OK.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
The product prints a print cartridge alignment sheet.
7. Load the page print side down on the right front corner of the glass, and then press
the button next to OK to scan the page.
When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete and the page can be
removed. Recycle or discard the page.

OK, Whe you select Print from the File Menu and the Print window opens, selct the Color tab.

There should be an option to Print in Grayscale. Check the box beside it and click OK at the bottom. Then back at the Print window, click Print.

(Note: If this option is not on the Color tab, or you do not have a color tab, look on the Advanced tab for the same thing.)

Please check the paper settings of the printer. for example If the paper selected is A3 and the printing matter is on A4 then this problem may occur. If my solution proves helpful kindly rate my solution.

I can not scan from my printer to my pc. I have a hp c4480. everything works on it. bill
